SCHS Class of '86, 25-year reunion

Silver Creek High School, class of 1986, 25-year reunion. Held in conjunction with the annual Alumni dinner.
As I was standing in line to get my nametag, I overheard one old fart say to another: "What are all these young folk doing here?"
Aside from the 4 teenagers that were there to receive scholarships, indeed, our class members were the youngest people there. Youngest by SEVERAL years. It's the first time I've been referred to as "young" in quite a long while. I think I may have to attend the alumni dinner every year, just so I'm not the oldest person in the room as it seems to be the case more and more often these days.

The alumni officers took turns speaking, and Mr. Milman (as you'll recall, our jr. high principal) took a turn at the podeum. I guess a few of our classmates were talking a bit too loudly, because at one point, he shot our group one of those looks that I remember so well from our junior high days. He hasn't lost his touch.

Here are a few photos of the reunion dinner and fellowship afterwards (everyone please forgive me if I've spelled any names incorrectly):

Every once in a while, I can get the panoramic setting on my camera to work properly...

Norman "gone fishin'!" Sanders

Either a setting for the haunted forest, or a scene from "Deliverance", you be the judge...

After a big lunch, what better to do than go walk it off so we could make room for seconds??

This was my first visit to the Pepper-Upper Club. It's not a fancy place, but it was certainly one of the most relaxing and peaceful afternoons I've spent in a very long time. No sounds from the traffic out on the road, only nature and the laughter we shared.

I don't know about the rest of our class that wasn't in attendance, but a few of us there were in agreement, that it would be fun, if nothing else, to get our class together once a year for a picnic. I'm all for it!

SCHS class of '86, picnic/BIG-ASS-CHAIR

My husband brought out his BIG-ASS-CHAIR and everyone took turns sitting in it. Whenever I sit in it, I always feel like Edith Ann from that old show "Laugh-In".

Geri Elliott-Helbig... I promised her I wouldn't post these on Facebook, but I never said anything about Blogger! ;)

Yours truly.

Do I really need to tell you whose daughter this is? Spitting image of her mother!
